What to bring

The Ride:
Located in the heart of central Virginia, beautiful Lake Anna was created in 1972 for the purpose of providing cooling water for the North Anna Nuclear Power Station. The region is now a popular outdoor recreational facility for Richmond and northern Virginia residents. The Century Classic offers both an English and metric century around the scenic lake and through the quiet and rolling Piedmont of Spotsylvania, Orange, Louisa, and Hanover counties. Having no mountain climbs, traffic, or anything larger than a village to contend with, this classic is the perfect opportunity to satisfy any cyclist’s century goals. Terrain: Flat to gently rolling. Some long flat sections and some rolling, particularly around the many tributaries and inlets of the lake. Difficulty is due only to the ride’s length. No major climbs.
